Basics

Lately I have been gravitating towards clothing items that go well while transitioning into Spring or Fall. Gotta keep the denim jacket in hand for an extra layer when it gets chillier during the day. & while Spring decides to officially stay, I will be using my basics here much more consistently especially when my brain goes into Finals mode which is in 3 weeks (holy moly).

Anyway, can't go wrong with a bold lip and some statement necklace.

My outfit shoots have consisted of being 8 minutes tops! I can't stand it, you can totally tell by my (I'm really really cold but I'm powering through it) smile. Trust me, there's lots of running in place, busting out some dance moves to keep my blood flowing  here in these 8 minutes or so. As well as, my winter jacket and warm boots. The thing is guys, winter has only just begun, we have about 3 more months of coldness. & I've already had enough, Chicago I love you but I love you more when you're bearable to be out in. 

After the holidays, I did some major damage on stocking up on some sweaters since retail is shifting into resort collections. I love seeing the spring clothing items but its hard when we've just had negative degree weather. Anyhow I scored this sweater for less than 30 dollars, I feel so accomplished when I score deals like these. So something to keep in mind, shop at the end of the season for some essentials!

Shifting into Fall

So who's gotten their pumpkin spiced latte from Starbucks this morning? My instragram was full of pictures of people and their coffee and guess where I am going after school? 

I am still trying to get use of my summer pieces before I stuff them in a box, I incorporated darker tones and booties ( Fall staple) from Target recently. I know for a fact that I'll be wearing these often!

Rain or Shine

It finally feels like summer, but it has been raining and it forecasted to rain most of this week. I don't mind at all since I literally live in my hunter rain boots so it can rain all it wants! Plus, I am loving my cute clear umbrella!

My June Favorites!

Hey there guys, so yes here we go again with the awkward youtube videos! I couldn't help myself but try to make another one again just because it spices things up here on my posts.  I thought that it would be nice to actually hear the voice behind the blog, ya know what I mean? It is a total refresher for me to do something out of my comfort zone like speaking to a camera and sounding so weird. Wear Jeans to Work

I am trying my hardest to wear jeans more often and I finally incorporated a way to wear them at work. By adding some snazzy shoes and a dressy white shirt and everything complimented each other very well. I am glad no one said anything about wearing jeans to work or maybe it was the fact that it was the last day of school for students and my boss didn't really care...anyways I got away with it, maybe you can to...on a Friday.

Madewell Denim Road Trip: Chicago

Hey lovelies, so this last saturday, I attended the Madewell Denim road trip and let me just tell you it was great fun! 

The girls there greeted and welcomed you to their airstream where they had clothes and a denim bar to try on the soft and comfy jeans.

 I'll take one of each please!  :)

 They also had a braid bar and of course I took full advantage of that!

 However, since I couldn't take everything with me. They told me, they had this contest where if you found a golden ticket, you would get a 100 dollar gift card. I decided to go and find it... and I found it! It was by the Marilyn Monroe statue on Michigan Ave.!! I was sooo happy it made my weekend. & I know where I will be shopping!

Comfyness at its best!

It's been a hair tying no make up kinda week. (I know shame on me!) But I like letting my skin breath for a little. 

Cannot wait for this week to go by. I am very excited to post more often in the summer! I also have many things to share with you all. Like going to the Madewell event on Saturday, as well as picking up or receiving online purchases I have made! Overall it's been a good mid-week.
