Hot Pink

Outfit Details: Shirt // Skirt // Baublebar Necklace (similar)// Target heels (old but similar).

Can you believe Valentine's Day is this Friday? I have realized that this year I have gotten even more involved with most holidays, decorated my office space and have planned out valentines color outfits for work! Except for this one, this outfit is definitely a more going out kinda look!  I have loving the midi skirt trend, especially bright colored one skirts, I couldn't pass up this cute hot pink one! I wore this on Saturday for a date, of course I had my snow boots handy and than switched out to these metallic heels! This look is great for the day time too because the chambray look eases the outfit and makes it  a more "dressed up casual attire."
Hope everyone has a great Monday!! :)

Add Color

Outfit Details: Zara sweater // J.crew Pants // American Eagle Coat // Target heels // Sparkle and Sophistication tassel necklace c/o
Lately I've been crushing on winter whites, especially this fuzzy sweater from Zara. Which was on sale for less than 20 dollars! I guess winter in the Midwest isn't bad at all when you have winter sales and the items you buy are still to very good use. I have been trying to incorporate more lively colors into my wardrobe to brighten an outfit up. In this case I used bright pink lipstick and a cobalt blue to add that color!
Also the wonderful necklace I am wearing is from a very sweet person behind Sparkle and Sophistication. She is so easy to communicate with and her jewelry is fab, definitely check it out. You won't be disappointed!

Hope you all had a great weekend & Happy Monday!

Trendy in the Cold

So after the holidays my favorite places like J.crew, Zara, and Asos were having major sales and I couldn't help but get myself a faux fur coat. & this one was calling my name, I never thought I could pull it off, sometimes you need to put it on in order to know how you really feel about it. Loved how it looked and felt, of course it's a coat you must layer in, with the cold we've been having. I rather look like a puffy marshmallow than freeze to death!

Silver + Pink

So this outfit photo shoot was done before the big snow storm we got going on right now and trust me  there's no way I would be wearing heels, my Hunters or Sorel boots are my best friends right now!

Although its winter wonderland in Chicago,  there's something about January that screams bright colors and spring. It may be because of  all these retailers with their resort collections makes me think of warm weather! I am loving this and this.

Cozy knitwear

Cozy knitwear and dainty jewelry have been on constant rotation lately for work.
However, with the cold Chicago brings us, you best believe I bundled up and layered!

Now that Christmas has come and gone, the cold and snow can bid us goodbye. Speaking of goodbyes, 2013 is at its end, seriously the older I get the faster time goes.
I can't wait to ring in the new year, happy monday to all!

Sparkle On

Seriously in love with this top, so perfect for the holidays! I can't help but to love this color combo for this time of the year. Funny story about this top is that my boyfriend hated it when I had picked it out of the Forever 21 rack. He thought it was too much sparkle going on and all I could think of was "I love all this sparkle", I decided on a no the first time around but I couldn't stop regretting that I didn't get it, so guess who went back to get it? He did, that's right.
& he ended up loving it when I put it on....BOYS!!

Anyway, I am so excited to for Christmas, literally in 21 days and counting.

I have been feeling so much better now that my fall semester is coming to an end. I cannot wait until
that's over!

Thanksgiving Oufit Idea

Seriously, cannot believe tomorrow is Thanksgiving! A year ago my boyfriend was at boot camp & I wasn't able to spend this lovely holiday with him. This year, however, we will be enjoying a Thanksgiving lunch at his grandma's house. I'm thinking that this outfit I wearing today is basically what I plan on wearing tomorrow, it's casual but it still has a dressy feel to it. (Don't worry the fit on the skirt is a loose fit to begin with, just enough for me to get away with eating until my heart is content!)
To follow we will be hosting our very first Thanksgiving dinner at our apartment with my family. It's seriously so crazy how time flies by and I'm old enough to do that, this year has been a lot of firsts and it will continue as I enter adulthood. Eeep!

I would love to know your plans for tomorrow? Are you stuffing the turkey? Or  are you making the yummy pumpkin pie? What are you most excited about Thanksgiving?

Happy Wednesday!
