Two in One

This was definitely taken when the weather had been a lot nicer than it is now... although has it ever happened where you don't remember to look at the weather forecast and dress according onto how nice it looks outside. Hmm looks can be deceiving and than its too late to go back home because you were running late in the first place. Well, that always happens to me and I hate freezing my butt off. I started making sure I stuff a cardigan/sweater in my Longchamp or bag pack just so I don't have the shivers when I am heading to school or work.

Well, what do you know we still have really cold weather in Chicago. It's tough and frankly I cannot wait for those nice Spring days. Lately, I have been loving field jackets and warm bright sweaters and I found this cute Old Navy military jacket a few weeks ago and have been wearing it constantly. It's such a laid back look and love how it cinches at the waist. 

I am currently on my last day of Spring Break and I am so happy I got a bit of break from school & work! I got the extra energy to just to push through this final stretch of homework and exams! May is just around the corner, I'm also hoping this weather gets better by than too!

Remember my other post about investing on winter pieces? Well the list is never ending on the things that are necessary to go through a brisk brutal winter. In Chicago, we have more cold months than I would like. As a college student who commutes everywhere via public transportation, it is necessary for me to have winter boots that are durable and warm. These Sorels have done just that this winter while still looking fashion forward, I don't wear these all day but it makes everyday's commute a lot better!

New York, New York

I went to New York once and haven't stopped thinking about that amazing experience since. I loved the city lights and the stores at Time Square closing early hours in the morning. I went there for a week and all I could think of was "I need more time" and its true I wasn't able to go to the many places I wanted to go but what I did see, I loved. Especially 5th Avenue (for obvious reasons) and Central Park, I can only imagine how beautiful it looks during the Fall. Until then this tee can be lovely reminder of New York and all its wonders.

Easy Leopard

Remember that Claire Vivier leopard clutch I was lusting about? Well, that never happened, its beautiful but the price tag… not so much. So I got the next best thing, I  got this little beauty from Gap recently and couldn't be happier. I am not a clutch person per se but I figured its never to late to start especially when having a big heavy purse becomes a little too much.

Polka Dots+Tiffany Blue Hunters

I don't even know where to start with these rain boots, the truth of the matter is that everyone should have a pair, period. I am so happy with all 3 pairs I have. Yup 3! Its a bit out of control that I think I need so many rain boots but its so hard to just have a pair when they come in the prettiest colors. As you all know Tiffany blue is one of my favorite colors and I just had to get these. Don't think they are just for show because they do come handy and are very durable and comfortable or else I wouldn't be tempting you buy some Hunter Boots. ;)

Finals

First off.... don't worry I am still alive and kicking. I have been M.I.A for finals, thye have been sucking up all my free time. Although finals are this week, I decided to show you all what I wear while "studying hard" for finals. Plus I miss my little blog and thought I could use a break from all the madness!  

In other happenings can you tell I am quite in love with my navy vest? I am indeed!  I even  bought another! Can you guess what color I got?

Bordeaux, Burgundy, Oxblood

Yes, these are all names of the different shades of a deep red that have been trending for this fall season. I am keeping the colored jean/pant trend alive incorporating this lovely color. I just purchased these pants from H&M this weekend for a low price of 35 dollars. Now I am on the lookout for the perfect top in this color!

Zig-Zag Pants

In other words.... Chevron. A pattern that is plastered everywhere from rings and bangles to pillows and bedroom rugs and yes it's even on my desktop as wallpaper.

It's a different pattern from the one I have been wearing constantly like polka-dots! I just got these 2 weeks ago at Old Navy for $15, on sale. So if you're daring enough to wear them, get them quick! These mustard colored pants could go with more colors then you think especially burgundy and black as well navy blue like I am wearing it. :)
