Black Uniform

I have realized that the color black has been in constant rotation, it's just an easy outfit when you're flying out the door. Weekends are usually the only time I have to do errands and maybe work on some  homework so comfort is key!

However, this weekend was a little more special! I got engaged to the love of my life and I can't wait to spend forever with him! He popped the question on Valentine's Day and I am so happy! Thank you all for the sweet comments and wishes.

Trendy in the Cold

So after the holidays my favorite places like J.crew, Zara, and Asos were having major sales and I couldn't help but get myself a faux fur coat. & this one was calling my name, I never thought I could pull it off, sometimes you need to put it on in order to know how you really feel about it. Loved how it looked and felt, of course it's a coat you must layer in, with the cold we've been having. I rather look like a puffy marshmallow than freeze to death!

I've always loved a simply outfit but to add a bit of color I decided to wear this cozy scarf. Seriously, one of the best purchases I have made this Fall. I got it from Zara for a reasonable price!

When it's not on my neck, it's literally so big that I have used it as a blanket.

Embrace

 Holidays are the best time of the year but also the busiest. I have been all over the place and all I want to do when I get home is go under the covers and hibernate. Don't worry I haven't forgotten about my blog, but there was a mishap over the weekend that made me not want to go up and down the stairs to take outfit pictures. I hurt my knee, don't worry now its minor and should be feeling better in a few days I hope!

As I asked my friend at school to snap a few pictures I realized I had my knee brace on. How fashionable!

Classic Layering

Currently Loving Riding Boots

Tory Burch has not failed me yet. When I first saw these boots it was love at first sight.  I couldn't help but to get them. They are so versatile and great to walk in. I don't ever want to take them off! You will definitely be seeing them all over my blog all the time. So there, you were warned! 

In other news, hunter green and burgundy have been making it into my top fall color trends. From nail polish to shirts to cardigans, it will add that subtle pop of color to your outfit.

Preppy As Usual

I have been trying to find a decent place to take indoor pictures for when it rains or it's not to great to do outside especially in the winter time. I have no idea how well this will work you all and I hope that everything is still viewed clearly.

This was yesterday's outfit, very laid back with a splash of preppyness. I am in love with rain boots especially different colored ones, I plan on getting some pink ones soon. The weather changed through out the day and I ended up swapping my Hunters for my Ash Toms.

 

Oh and I had my first half-birthday present yesterday. I never get those, it just seemed reasonable to say it was becasue that's when my order came in, it worked out that way.

Back to School

Well it's the most wonderful time of the year again, well at least for parents it is. The people going back to school are not as ecstatic. I have mixed feelings about school, it's what you call a love/hate relationship...I do not start school until tomorrow, but I had to pick up books and get some paperwork done and so here you have it.

Oldie Makes A Comeback

I have had this dress for years now, and I still love it. It looks so girly and sweet. I love the material and it's comfortable to be in. 

I wore this to my lunch date with the boyfriend today, we went to Tavern On Rush in Chicago. It was quite delicious and the ambiance is great! I wish I went on lunch dates everyday really, who doesn't like food?!

Denim On Denim

         It may seem a little matchy matchy but I really like the concept of the different tones of denim. Not something you usually see a person wear, but my advice isn't just on denim it can certainly work with any color scheme you want, just think: light tone dark tone of the same color!

Now, I may have gone a little overboard with my shoes, but that's only because I have been neglecting them all summer! By the way, these Soludos are so lightweight and comfy, got them on sale for $11 at J.crew (of course!)
