Weekend Wear

It was fantastic having a long weekend, I honestly think we should always have more than two days of relaxation. I even had time to reorganized a few drawers, get a shoe rack (yes, the 10-tier one from The Container Store). You're probably thinking why would you wanna spend your weekend like that!? Well, little do you all know, my room is the size of a closet and I had clothes all over the place....overall not very pretty! :)

Anyway, what I am trying to get at is that it was chilly and I was running errands and doing chores so I chose something super laid back and comfy, I wanted to show you all it's not always glam!

Creamy White + Plaid

With the holidays being right around the corner and by that I mean less then a month until Christmas! I have been coveting plaid. (plaid flannel sheets, scarves, shirts, skirts.) Now I know many of you may not like plaid like I do. But if you're not too sure about "going all out" then try putting some chunky sweater over it and pull the collar out and show just a little bit of color.

Feelin Under The Weather.

Let's just say this week has been a handful. & it doesn't help that I got sick. Well, when I get sick, all I wanna do is stay under some blankets and drink some hot tea. But that's not happening for this college kid.

Autumn Tones

By the looks of these pictures it doesn't look like it's really cold but it was! I just pulled myself together and made a quick photo-shoot. I must say I may have to invest in really cute outerwear for the near future.

Great InVESTtment

 I never thought that owning a vest would be such a great buy. I had my eye on this navy down vest from J.crew. The price was a little steep but I got it during the sale and got it for less then 50, wish I had gotten all of the colors! These vests are so versatile and warm. It has become my go-to during this pleasantly cool weather.

Business Like

I always end up overanalyzing when someone says "dress business casual" I either overdress or don't dress up enough for whatever occasion it may be especially for a job interview. 

I have come to realize that adding a blazer will add that certain sophistication needed. Granted, I have tons of blazers and can't help to think of needing more. Since I went overboard getting beautiful pastels, now it's time to invest in neutrals and dark-toned blazers for this lovely weather!

These heart sweaters have been all over the blog-o-sphere.  Dress it up or dress it down, these heart sweaters are making a statement. 

Yes, they are very cutesy and definitely on the girlier side. It's different as you may notice some people looking at you weirdly, but it's ok!

Denim On Denim

         It may seem a little matchy matchy but I really like the concept of the different tones of denim. Not something you usually see a person wear, but my advice isn't just on denim it can certainly work with any color scheme you want, just think: light tone dark tone of the same color!

Now, I may have gone a little overboard with my shoes, but that's only because I have been neglecting them all summer! By the way, these Soludos are so lightweight and comfy, got them on sale for $11 at J.crew (of course!)

Pre-Fall

Who has been enjoying this weather?! I have, it is getting me super excited for Fall! I am getting so ahead of myself that I am already looking at jackets and riding boots galore! ( I have been eyeing a pair form Tory Burch)

Orange You Glad

Hey friends, so let's talk about the colored denim I have on, they are so comfy and they feel great especially because I got them on sale at J.crew. Now,now we all know I have a serious issue when it comes to that place. But I could not turn away $23 dollar jeans, so there! I know it's tough buying bright denim at the end of the summer season but odds are; I sure will wear them again next year!

Beachy Outfit

Hey there everyone! So here's the deal, I got this tank about 2 months ago and said I was gonna sooo wear it at the beach & how many times have I gone to the beach? ONCE, and did I wear it then? Nope, so I had no option but to wear it out. I know, I know what was I thinking, but it was a 'relax day' for me.(There, that's my excuse)

Not So Picture Perfect

 Ok Ok, so my pictures are not the greatest and having no camera person (the boyfran) is even worse because at least I knew I was centered and the pictures were taken on a good angle. But no this time I had my tripod now I thought it would be easier... but wrong again! So bare with me until I get the hang of it? :)

Field Trip

Yesterday we went to the Science and Industry Museum, it must of been like the 10th time i have been there in the span of 10 years. However, my little sister and boyfriend have never been there! Surprisingly! So we went ahead and went on a little "field trip".

Striped Lady

I have realized that living in the city brings so many more places to enjoy and last night's was China Town. I went to have dinner with a couple of friends. I was not able to snap any pictures, but I promise next time I go I will!

As usual, you will find me in stripes and a blazer, nothing new here. I also decided to wear flip flops because being the shoe fein that I am. I always end up with blisters and cuts from new shoes, and sometimes your feet just need a little break, ya know? (Or it could also be that heels kill my feet and I am wimp!)

Rain Rain Go Away

SO here you have it... 54 degrees in the Windy City, one day before June, that's right you heard it. This was my outfit yesterday and although the weather today isn't any better. I had to go back to my ultimate favorites. You can never go wrong with these pieces. I have come to realize through this blog that I am a blue kinda gal. When I used to think I had too much pink, I was wrong. Blue is  my go to, it seems. But I don't mind it, blue goes with everything really. 

I also had the chance to pull out the rubber boots and splash in the puddles, just because I can :)
