Seriously, with the weather Chicago has been bringing, I can't help but to dream about Fall! I am not so excited about school starting back up again but with all these cute things to wear or style. It couldn't get here any faster! These pieces need to make their way into my closet. Pronto!

Mixing Things Up!

Messy buns and stripes, do we see a pattern? My go-tos, for obvious reasons 1) stripes and polka dots are the easiest to dress up or down and mix! 2) messy buns are perfect for those (like me) who have no idea what to do with their hair!

To tie everything together I added the  pop of color with my neon pink sandals.

Laid back Denim

Happy Happy Monday, I guess I hit the snooze button quite a few times today. I was busy working all weekend and attempting to put up a T.V. at the apartment.

For such a laid back weekend I decided to just wear my denim on denim look with some super soft and oh so comfortable chino pants.

On the sidenote: I scored this denim jacket on sale at J.crew (extra 40% until Aug 4th)!

Christmas In July

I know what you are all thinking is she crazy, can't she just enjoy summer? Well I am, but I thought that it was literally Christmas because I got an amazing present! I felt like a kid on Christmas morning, giddy and full of joy! Oh and if that wasn't enough I had to top off this photo shoot with tulle... now all I need is snow.

I obviously have a thing for feminine and sparkly things, I dressed down on this occasion keeping it simple and clean. For now, I used a simple tee of a contrasting color which really made a focus on the skirt and (of course the shoes!) 

Can't wait to also wear this skirt for holidays!

Lace+Chambray

I am so ready to attend my first musical festival, that's right I will be going to Lollapalooza in the beginning of August and I am beyond thrilled! I am already channeling in the crochet tops and lacey shorts. I had recently ordered some booties from DV but they didn't fit! 

Anyways,  the weather has cooled just a tiny bit enough for me to wear my all time fav and as I always say if you don't own one go get one now J.crew has one on sale for $50!

Pretty in Blush

This top seriously brought back childhood memories, I remember having tops with the same shoulder detailing. Although I look 12, I still love the whole concept of this top. The peplum and the button detailing in the back which I forgot to show! Whoops 

I decided  to keep it simple (as usual) besides I have gravitating to these jeans a lot lately and felt that these two together complimented each other well.

This weekend I did....

I am all about less is more, in this case I lived in shorts this whole week, due to the heat wave we had gotten ourselves.

 Frozen Yogurt is my new favorite, I've always enjoyed it but now its serious. I have come to the conclusion that Pinkberry on State St. is my favorite! I love the original tart with some strawberries and granola.

Also, I went to do some grocery shopping at the new market in Old Town called Plum Market, think of it as Whole Foods' younger sister. 

In other scary news I went to go see The Conjuring with my brother,boyfriend and close friends, scary but not so scary that I didn't fall asleep that night...because I did!

Cobalt+Pink

The way to my heart? Buying me all the Starbucks passion tea I want. I am seriously obsessed with this drink during the summertime. My favorite mix is the passion tea with lemonade, sweetened with raspberry.

Also, sidenote: its hot hot hot in Chicago all this week so flowy skirts and lightweight shirts are a must!

What to Wear to Work: Bermuda Shorts

I know what you all are thinking? Bermuda shorts?! A fashion statement? Not so much, but it works for what to wear at work. I find it hard sometimes to work with the dress code because no mini skirt or even some sun dresses aren't allowed which I completely understand but I also don't want want to be burning up . So Bermuda shorts are right next to my pencil skirt options!

If you are thinking about buying a pair or two, I suggest basic colors first!

Daytime Sequins

Sequins isn't just night attire anymore but it can also be very glam in the daytime. The subtle neon pink and yellow with the neutrals tie in to make a great summer look!
