Two in One

This was definitely taken when the weather had been a lot nicer than it is now... although has it ever happened where you don't remember to look at the weather forecast and dress according onto how nice it looks outside. Hmm looks can be deceiving and than its too late to go back home because you were running late in the first place. Well, that always happens to me and I hate freezing my butt off. I started making sure I stuff a cardigan/sweater in my Longchamp or bag pack just so I don't have the shivers when I am heading to school or work.

Basics

Lately I have been gravitating towards clothing items that go well while transitioning into Spring or Fall. Gotta keep the denim jacket in hand for an extra layer when it gets chillier during the day. & while Spring decides to officially stay, I will be using my basics here much more consistently especially when my brain goes into Finals mode which is in 3 weeks (holy moly).

Anyway, can't go wrong with a bold lip and some statement necklace.

Well, what do you know we still have really cold weather in Chicago. It's tough and frankly I cannot wait for those nice Spring days. Lately, I have been loving field jackets and warm bright sweaters and I found this cute Old Navy military jacket a few weeks ago and have been wearing it constantly. It's such a laid back look and love how it cinches at the waist. 

I am currently on my last day of Spring Break and I am so happy I got a bit of break from school & work! I got the extra energy to just to push through this final stretch of homework and exams! May is just around the corner, I'm also hoping this weather gets better by than too!

Remember my other post about investing on winter pieces? Well the list is never ending on the things that are necessary to go through a brisk brutal winter. In Chicago, we have more cold months than I would like. As a college student who commutes everywhere via public transportation, it is necessary for me to have winter boots that are durable and warm. These Sorels have done just that this winter while still looking fashion forward, I don't wear these all day but it makes everyday's commute a lot better!

Hello everyone! It feels like forever since I last posted, I have been dealing with college craziness. Someone had mentioned that your last semester in college was supposed to be the easiest, well that's not the case with me. I was lucky enough to have a very non-stressful college career until now... 

Anyways, happy thoughts. Happy thoughts. I will be done before I know it right? I have 15 more weeks of school, I can do that. 

So because I have started school and its been way too cold out here to look pretty. I just love wearing comfy sweaters and jeans, oh and we can't forget my hunters. Seriously, do I have any other shoes to wear? Apparently not! :)

There's those days where I just want to lounge all day and drink some hot tea, catch up with some of my favorite blogs and watch 'How I met your mother'. Seriously, such a funny show, it's on Netflix so get to it! 

I love wearing chunky cardigans and comfy shoes and the fact that they are glittery makes them even better! I am so glad the weekend is finally here!

Easy Layering

I'm pretty sure I have a plaid or tartan shirt for everyday of the week! This year I went crazy and have stocked up on some new favorites. I love that I can layer it too, especially thankful that I can, because it is freezing lately here in Chicago. [Don't worry, my coat was close at hand] 

We are down to the day before Christmas Day! I will be spending my evening with my side of the family, enjoying a delicious meal and opening presents! & tomorrow I will be going to my boyfriend's grandma's house out in the suburbs for a Christmas lunch!

Can't wait for the festivities to begin!

Casual Colorblock

Yay, last week of classes! I couldn't be more thrilled to be going on winter break soon. I will be free by the end of next week. For my comfort and sanity, my looks lately this week have been super casual and warm, literally out the door kinda outfits . I have loved  chambray for any occasion and big warm sweaters are also a must!
